It's only semi autobiographical
Monday, April 11, 2005
So, the other day, I went up to London to meet up with Nikki and her friend. Nikki being an American girl I met snowboarding some time ago now. Unfortunately, the Ocean came between us, and we lost contact, but now with her over here, we seized the opportunity to meet up.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of communication while I was in London, she was not. In fact, she was in Soham. To find this out I had to wake people up on two continents, so probably decreased my general popularity level somewhat.
Anyway. The day was not to be wasted, so I did some wandering, taking in the sights, sounds and smells of our great capital.
Then I went to the pub.
Fortunately for me, Emma was around (fencing Emma) with one of her friends, Jamie I believe, so there was good company. I was also invited to stay round, which was a bonus because it meant we could get some heavy drinking in. This involved Emma's local, a lock in, Emma serving our beer, some of which was free, and large degrees of intoxication. Oh. And text messages. Damn mobile phones and all their spawn. I do not remember most of it, but I feel that I should be at least slightly ashamed.
Ah yes, and Emma beat me at pool.
It was a good night though... Quite, quite enjoyable.
Tune in tomorrow for more London adventures, followed by the skiing diary.
